Six consecutive suspicious fires occur in Tokyo's Adachi Ward, with one person slightly injured; Metropolitan Police Department calls for vigilance

Between August 24th and September 4th, there were six fires in which houses, vending machines, etc. were set ablaze in Chuohonmachi 4-chome, Adachi Ward, Tokyo. One person was also injured.

There is no sign of fire in the area, and the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the possibility of arson, and urges people to ``do not hesitate to call 110 if you see anyone suspicious.''

According to Ayase Police Station, all the fires occurred between dawn and dawn. The first incident occurred around 12:10 a.m. on August 24th. A political party poster attached to the outside wall of a detached house was set on fire. In the second incident, two political party posters taped to the same wall were set on fire at around 2:30 a.m. on the same day.

The third incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. on September 3, when a wooden shed caught fire in front of the entrance of another single-family home. The fire occurred between 12:50 a.m. and 5:10 a.m. on September 4, destroying a vending machine, a bicycle cover, and a tree in the garden of a detached house. The fire started from a tree in the garden and spread to the outside wall of the house, causing the resident, a woman in her 80s, to suffer burns to her face.

Both suspicious fires were discovered by residents and police officers on alert. Ayase Police Station is on high alert as there is a possibility of a series of arson attacks.
