According to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency on the 2nd, the Liberty Unification Party, led by Pastor Jeon Gwang-hoon of Sarang Jeil Church, will hold a rally in the Sejong-daero area in front of Dongwha Duty Free Shop from 1 p.m. on the 3rd (Saturday).

After the rally ends, from 4 p.m., a march will take place along Saemunan-ro and Jahamun-ro to Sinsa Intersection.

The People Power Party, Ten Million People's Movement Headquarters, All-Armed Comrades Association, and Palestine Solidarity also plan to hold rallies in various parts of the city, including Sungnyemun Gate, Seoul Station, and Bosingak, this afternoon, and then march through Jongno and Eulji-ro.

Accordingly, traffic congestion is expected on major urban roads, including Sejong-daero.

In the Gangnam area, the '2026 Gangnam Festival' will be held centered on Dosan-daero from the 3rd to the 5th.

In the approximately 500m section of Dosan-daero Dosan Park Intersection to Hakdong Intersection, all lanes in both directions will be controlled from midnight on the 3rd to 5 a.m. on the 5th.

In particular, a large-scale street parade is scheduled in this section from 4 PM to 6:30 PM on the 3rd, so vehicle traffic between South and North Korea will be temporarily restricted in the approximately 730m section between Cheongdam Intersection and Hakdong Intersection before and after the event.

On the morning of the 4th (Sunday) and the 5th (National Foundation Day alternative public holiday), marathon competitions will be held one after another in the Yeouido area.

On the 4th, the '2026 Run Your Way Seoul 10K' will be held and Yeoui-daero and Yeouiseo-ro will be closed sequentially from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

The lower two lanes are controlled from Yeouido Park Gate 1 to the northern end of Seoul Bridge, and the section from Yeouiseo-ro National Assembly Gate 3 to the southern end of Sogang Bridge is completely controlled. One-way lanes from the north end of Sogang Bridge to the south end are also controlled from 7:15 a.m. to 9 a.m.

On the 5th, the northern end of Yeouiseo-ro Seoul Bridge ~ KBS section and the KBS ~ southern end section of Sogang Bridge will be completely controlled from 7:00 am to 9:30 am for the '2026 Hankyung Seoul Marathon'.

In the section between National Assembly Gate 6 on Yeoui Park Road and KBS, the lower 1 to 2 lanes are controlled, and from the north end of Sogang Bridge to the south end, one-way lanes are controlled from 7 a.m. to 8:50 a.m.

The police plan to maintain order by deploying traffic police around rally and event sites and operating variable lanes.

209 traffic police officers and others are deployed in the downtown area, and 753 people are deployed in the Gangnam area.

An official from the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency said, "As traffic congestion is expected in the downtown area and Gangnam area, please use the subway as much as possible and check traffic information in advance if you use a car."

Detailed traffic conditions, including assembly locations, can be checked through the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency traffic information phone line (☎ 02-700-5000), the Traffic Information Center website, KakaoTalk (Seoul Police Traffic Information), etc.
