The Russian Ministry of Health stopped registering the drugs Signifor and Zeposia

The Russian Ministry of Health has stopped registering two drugs for the treatment of serious diseases. We are talking about Signifor and Zeposia, writes Kommersant.

Both drugs were included in the list of vital and essential drugs. According to the publication, at the moment there is no replacement for the drug Zeposia, which is prescribed for multiple sclerosis and severe ulcerative colitis. As for the drug “Signifor” used in the treatment of Itsenko-Cushing syndrome, in this case there is an alternative and more effective remedy that doctors are already using.

The ministry explained that the decision to suspend the registration of drugs was made at the initiative of the manufacturers.
