51 suspects were caught in immigrant smuggling operations in 33 provinces

According to the statement made by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Adana, Ağrı, Ankara, Antalya, Artvin, Aydın, Balıkesir, Bitlis, Çanakkale, Denizli, Edirne, Erzurum, Gaziantep, Hakkari, Hatay, Isparta, Istanbul, İzmir, Kahramanmaraş, Kars, Kayseri, Kırklareli, Kocaeli, Manisa, Muğla, Muş, Osmaniye, Sakarya, Sivas, The operation was carried out in Şanlıurfa, Şırnak, Tekirdağ and Van under the coordination of the Gendarmerie General Command's Department of Combating Immigrant Smuggling and Human Trafficking.

During the operations, 51 suspects were captured as a result of the work carried out from the air by unmanned aerial vehicles and from the ground by public order, highway and commando teams.

47 of the suspects were arrested, and judicial control provisions were applied to 4 of them.
