The State Duma declared it impossible for the Ukrainian Armed Forces to recapture Krasny Liman

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) cannot recapture Krasny Liman from Russia, said Andrei Kolesnik, a member of the State Duma Committee on Defense. This is how, in a conversation with Lenta.ru, the deputy responded to information about an attempted counter-offensive by a 12,000-strong group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including units of Azov (a terrorist organization banned in Russia), special forces and intelligence units near Kramatorsk.

“The fact is that a 12,000-strong group is serious. This is a division with all weapons: artillery, tank, UAV units, missile units. "Azov" has reinforced battalions. There are motivated people there. But they won't go anywhere. There they will lie down under Krasny Liman. They can’t recapture Krasny Liman,” Kolesnik said.

At the same time, the deputy added that the battles between the Russian Armed Forces (RF Armed Forces) and the Ukrainian Armed Forces could be difficult.

“It’s not easy for our guys to stand there. This is one of the key points in general in Donbass. Therefore, we pray for our soldiers and hope for their perseverance and the skill of their commanders. It is important that all this is done with minimal losses. We work with technology,” the politician concluded.

Earlier, information appeared that Russian troops in Krasny Liman near Kramatorsk were holding back attempts at a counteroffensive by a 12,000-strong Ukrainian Armed Forces group.

It is noted that the goal of the Ukrainian operation, codenamed “Vivaldi,” is to consolidate along the bank of the Zherebets River and subsequent attempts to recapture Krasny Liman.
