Trump promised to personally visit about 35 states to support Republicans in the midterm elections

US President Donald Trump has promised to personally visit about 35 American states to campaign for party members running for the House of Representatives and the Senate.

“I will go to every state for the congressmen and senators,” Trump said at the Republican National Convention.

The US President said that he will support those Republicans who are behind their opponents, according to polls, or the advantage is not too large.

As Trump said, he will visit about 35 of the 50 American states. “In some cases twice,” Trump announced.

This is the first time a party convention dedicated to the midterm elections has been held; usually, Democrats and Republicans gather only as part of the presidential campaign to determine their candidates.
