Mobile phone stolen from beef noodle shop, owner’s location tracking, police found drugs and heroin

The owner of a beef noodle shop in Taipei City was robbed on the 8th of this month. His mobile phone and the change in the store were missing. The owner used the built-in positioning function of his mobile phone to track the incident to the area of ​​Muxin Road in Wenshan District, and then reported the case to the police for help. Officers from the Muxin Police Station of the Wenshan First Branch in the jurisdiction rushed to the scene after receiving the report. They found the 44-year-old man surnamed Lin involved on the spot and took out three mobile phones from his body. One of them was confirmed to be a stolen mobile phone. The police subsequently obtained permission to search the backpack and found the first-level drug heroin and injection syringes. After interrogation, he was transferred to law enforcement in accordance with the Theft and Drug Harm Prevention Regulations.

Police investigation revealed that after the boss discovered that his mobile phone was missing, he immediately turned on the mobile phone location search function on other devices and found that the signal moved all the way and stayed around Muxin Road in Wenshan District. The boss immediately rushed to the positioning display location to check and confirmed that the source of the signal was correct. However, because he was worried that confronting the other party alone might cause danger, he immediately dialed 110 to notify the police to dispatch personnel to assist in handling the situation.

After receiving the notification, the online patrol officers of the Muxin Police Station rushed to the scene and, under the guidance of their boss, conducted an on-the-spot investigation of the man named Lin who was acting suspiciously. The police took out three mobile phones from Lin Nan's body. The boss compared them on the spot and confirmed that the mobile phones indeed belonged to him. Faced with police interrogation, Lin Nan admitted that he had sneaked into the beef noodle shop and stolen the mobile phone. He argued that one of the two mobile phones was stolen and the other was picked up. The police then asked for Lin Nan's voluntary consent to check his backpack. When he opened it, they found drugs, heroin, used injection syringes and other contraband. They arrested Lin on the spot and took him to the police station to make a record.

It is understood that Mr. Lin has a criminal record for drugs and theft. He usually does odd jobs to make a living. He confessed to the police that he committed the theft because he was short of money. After questioning, the police transferred Mr. Lin to the District Prosecutor's Office for investigation in accordance with the law, and continued to trace the source of the drugs and the owners of the other two mobile phones.
