Sergey Yuran was appointed head coach of FC SKA-Khabarovsk

MOSCOW, May 25 - RIA Novosti. SKA-Khabarovsk has appointed Sergei Yuran to the post of head coach, according to the Telegram channel of the First League football club.

The agreement with the 56-year-old specialist is for one season.

"We were in no hurry to appoint a new head coach. We calmly considered several candidates and decided to choose Sergei Yuran. Sergei Nikolaevich is a well-known specialist who has already worked in our club and knows our specifics firsthand. From the very beginning of the negotiations, he showed his interest in returning to Khabarovsk. He has healthy coaching ambitions. We are confident that his experience and professional qualities will give the team a new impetus and our players will be able to to please the fans with a bright game and result,” said SKA-Khabarovsk General Director Alexey Kandalintsev.

In April, Alexey Poddubsky left the position of head coach of SKA-Khabarovsk. The team played the final three matches of the season under the leadership of Mikhail Semenov, who joined the coaching staff of the Khabarovsk club in January.

Yuran already worked at SKA-Khabarovsk from 2020 to 2022. His previous club was Turkish Serik Belediyespor, which he left in October. Before the Turkish team, Yuran also headed Nizhny Novgorod, Khimki, Krasnogorsk Zorkiy, Kaliningrad Baltika, Novosibirsk Sibir, Yaroslavl Shinnik, Stavropol Dynamo and worked on the coaching staff of Moscow Spartak.
