It rained heavily this morning in Keelung City. A rock fell on Zhengfeng Street in Zhongzheng District around 11 a.m., hitting the right front bumper of a passenger car. Fortunately, no casualties were caused on the car. The police first set up a cordon at the scene to keep the single line open to traffic in both directions. The city's Public Works Department has sent people to remove the falling rocks.

The car owner surnamed Li said that his son came to Keelung to participate in a cycling event. He drove from Banqiao to Keelung to pick up his son home. Unexpectedly, he encountered a falling rock while driving through Zhengfeng Street. He was unable to dodge and the front of the vehicle was damaged.

Affected by the northeast monsoon, the Meteorological Administration issued a special heavy rain warning for four counties and cities in Jiyi, Northwestern China this morning. Be careful of sudden heavy rains, beware of landslides, falling rocks and swollen streams in mountainous areas, and beware of accumulation of water in low-lying areas.

At around 11 a.m., a rockfall occurred on Zhengfeng Street in Zhongzheng District. Two stones fell on the road. The large stone was about 40 centimeters long and wide.

The car owner surnamed Li said that he was really shocked. Fortunately, he was safe. The front of the car was damaged. The child was not in the car at the time, otherwise he would be scared.

The police first cordoned off the road, and the Public Works Department also sent people to remove the stones and the road was restored to traffic.
