The tournament organizing committee said, “This is the first time in Solheim Cup history that both first two sessions ended in a draw.”

From the first foursome match, the two teams' aces, World No. 1 Nelly Korda (USA) and No. 8 Charlie Hull (England), faced each other, and Korda laughed in this match.

Korda appeared as America's first foursome with Allison Copuz, and Hull, who had been embroiled in a 'drinking controversy' after being late for practice ahead of the competition, teamed up with newcomer Lottie Ward (England).

Hull-Ward took the lead with a birdie in the 1st hole (par 4), but Korda-Copuz balanced the match in the 6th hole (par 3) and won the 7th (par 4) and 8th holes (par 4) with consecutive birdies to increase the lead by 3 holes.

Korda-Copuz, who at one point had a 5-hole lead, continued to lead by 4 holes with 3 holes remaining and finished the game with a complete win, becoming the first team to win 5 consecutive games in the Solheim Cup.

In the second foursomes match, USA's Allison Lee and Lauren Coughlin won by three holes with two holes remaining over Europe's Nana Massen (Denmark) and Celine Boutier (France).

However, in the other foursomes match, Europe's Esther Henselite (Germany) and Leona Maguire (Ireland) defeated America's Andrea Lee and Lindy Duncan by two holes, and Maya Starck and Lynn Grant (Sweden) beat America's Rose Jean-Jennifer Kupcho to balance the match.

In the four-ball match, Megan Caen and Allison Lee gave the United States one point, leading by five holes with three holes remaining against Boutier-Massen, while Europe's Mimi Rose (England) and Nastasia Nadeau (France) defeated America's Copuz and Auston Kim by two holes.

Korda-Coughlin drew with Carlota Ciganda and Julia Lopez Ramirez (Spain), and Noh Yerim-Angel Inn (USA) and Hull-Ward also shared 0.5 points.

In the foursomes match on the 12th, Korda-Kopuz will face Stark-Grant, and Allison Lee of the United States, who was the only player to win twice on the first day, will be paired with Coughlin to face Hull-Ward.
