The Rio de Janeiro company Focus Cia de Dança presents two free shows at Mormaço Cultural, in Boa Vista, between Friday (11) and Sunday (13). The performances take place at the Municipal Theater and are inspired by the songs of King Roberto Carlos and the children's universe. The group also promotes a free contemporary dance workshop during the festival.
🎭 The presentations take place in the Roraimeira Room. This Friday (11) and Saturday (12), the group presents the show "As Canções que Você Dançado pra Mim", in which the dancers dance to the sound of 72 hits by Roberto Carlos that marked generations.
🐢 On Sunday (13), the group presents "Bichos Dançantes", a children's show that tells the story of Elisa, a tortoise who is about to turn 100 years old. The sessions will be at 11am and 8pm. See the schedule:

'The songs you danced for me'
🌹👑The show is a choreography built from songs by Roberto Carlos. The presentation works on affections and memories related to the singer's work.
All the songs are performed in the voice of Roberto Carlos himself, in original versions of classics released between the 1960s and 1980s.
The costumes use shades of blue, inspired by the fashion of the time portrayed, with contemporary touches. The songs connect throughout the choreography to form a narrative.
'Dancing Animals'
The group closes the first stage of Mormaço Cultural this Sunday (13) with the show "Bichos Dançantes", which uses the magic and playful elements of dance to connect audiences of all ages. The songs and soundtrack complete the story, which mixes humor, joy and reflection.
🐢The show tells the story of the tortoise Elisa, who turns 100 years old and, tired of the traditional "happy birthday", invites eight animals to celebrate. All the guests have something in common: they want to find happiness.
Throughout the story, Elisa uses the experience accumulated over 100 years to propose challenges to the characters. Together, they embark on an adventure in search of happiness.

China tour
Before arriving in Boa Vista, Focus Cia de Dança made presentations in China. The group performed on August 31st and September 1st, in Beijing, and on September 3rd, in Zhengzhou.
The company participated in the Living Dance Festival with a team of around 20 people, including dancers, directors and technicians. At the festival, Focus presented "Still Reich", inspired by the work of American composer Steve Reich.
The Living Dance Festival is part of China's contemporary dance circuit and is linked to the activities of BeijingDance/LDTX, founded in 2005 by Willy Tsao and Li Han-zhong, in Beijing.

💃🕺Founded in 2000 by choreographer and artistic director Alex Neoral and production director Tatiana Garcias, Focus Cia de Dança brings together 27 works and 17 shows in its repertoire.
The company was declared Historical, Cultural and Artistic Heritage of Intangible Nature of the State of Rio de Janeiro. Throughout its career, Focus Cia de Dança performed in more than 100 Brazilian cities and went on international tours in countries in America, Europe and Asia.
