The Russian military repelled a raid by more than 40 Ukrainian drones in the Dobropil direction

Servicemen of the 35th separate motorized rifle brigade of the Center group of troops repelled a massive raid of more than 40 aircraft-type drones of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Dobropolsky direction.

All enemy drones were destroyed before reaching the protected facilities.

The drones were destroyed using small arms and the Igla portable anti-aircraft missile system.

Military personnel from a mobile fire group and an air surveillance post of the 35th separate motorized rifle brigade of the Center group of troops repelled a massive raid by more than 40 aircraft-type drones of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Dobropolsky direction, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.

“In total, there were more than 40 aircraft-type UAVs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the raid. Thanks to the timely detection of targets by air surveillance posts and the coordinated actions of mobile fire groups, all enemy drones were destroyed without reaching the protected objects,” the message says.

According to the department, the destruction of the drones was carried out using small arms, including assault rifles and Kalashnikov machine guns mounted on the Ulan-2 vehicle, as well as using the Igla portable anti-aircraft missile system.

“High mobility of fire groups and competent distribution of sectors of responsibility made it possible to timely intercept air targets at distant approaches,” the Ministry of Defense noted.
