Novorossiysk paratroopers daily destroy dozens of APU R-18 cargo octacopters in the Zaporozhye region.

To neutralize heavy cargo UAVs, an integrated approach is used, including radio jamming and fire damage.

Crews of interceptor drones of military air defense units and unmanned systems of the Novorossiysk Guards Mountain Airborne Forces are on constant combat duty in the airspace in the Orekhovsk direction in the Zaporozhye region.

MOSCOW, September 13 - RIA Novosti. Novorossiysk paratroopers daily destroy dozens of APU R-18 cargo octacopters in the Zaporozhye region, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.

The department explained that to neutralize heavy cargo UAVs, an integrated approach is used - from radio interference that deprives the vehicle of control, to fire damage using mobile air defense systems and specialized crews of interceptor UAVs.

“Thanks to such a countermeasures system, Stavropol paratroopers destroy dozens of similar UAVs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces every day in the skies of the Zaporozhye region,” the message says.
