The Saudi Al-Ittihad makes a final offer worth 40 million euros to include Anis Hadj Moussa from Feyenoord

The Saudi club Al-Ittihad made a “final” offer worth 40 million euros to sign Algerian international Anis Hadj Moussa, who expressed his determination to leave Feyenoord Rotterdam.

According to the French newspaper L'Equipe, Al-Ittihad did not back down from its efforts to sign the 24-year-old Algerian winger, and submitted its final offer to the Dutch club to settle the deal.

Hajj Moussa has been receiving attention from Al-Ittihad for some time, while the player, who was born in Paris and graduated from the Lens Academy, wants to leave Feyenoord, which he joined in 2024.

The player informed Feyenoord's management of his desire to leave. He refused to participate with the team against Nijmegen.

Haj Moussa has 18 international matches with the Algerian national team, and also participated in the World Cup with them.

Pressure is increasing to resolve the deal quickly in light of the closure of the transfer market in the Saudi League on Sunday evening. Which makes the federation's offer of 40 million euros the last attempt to reach an agreement with Feyenoord.

Zarko Lazic, coach of the Al-Taawoun team, expressed his regret over the continued negative results of his team in the Saudi Professional League championship in the current edition.

He said in the press conference that followed the goalless draw against Al-Fateh: “We are not happy with the result. Three matches at home we do not score, and certainly if you do not score, you will not win. I understand the talk about the bad start, but today we played with ten players, and the problem is very clear. We have to be more decisive in attack, and we have to be one group in attack and defense.”

In response to Asharq Al-Awsat’s question about the team’s attacking problem, he said: “My focus is always on the current group, and other coaches may resort to excuses and talk about the need for new players. Our problem is not in creating opportunities. We have shown our quality as a team, but the final judgement is on the results. We have to make more efforts to get points, and criticism is normal, and I bear responsibility. Fear will not help us, and hard work is our way through this stage.”

He added: “We have players on the team who have a goal-scoring record, but everyone can score goals, and today I saw the players somewhat pressured, and they were overwhelmed by haste, but pressure is part of football and we have a proverb in my country that says: ‘When things are complicated, you must show your personality.’”

The Al-Qadisiyah administration agreed with its counterpart in Al-Nasr to transfer the player Abdul Malik Al-Jaber to the first ranks on loan, provided that he bears the player’s salaries with the preference to purchase the contract.

The deal came after serious negotiations between the two parties during the past days.

The agreement was concluded in light of Al Jaber’s desire to move to a club that would give him a greater opportunity to participate and get more playing minutes.

Al-Sharq Al-Awsat had previously been alone in allowing the Al-Qadisiyah administration to enter into serious negotiations with Al-Nasr to obtain Al-Jaber’s services, noting the player’s desire to transfer, which would contribute to alleviating the financial burden on the club as part of its plan to reduce the club’s financial debts and obligations.

It is expected that the management of the two clubs will complete the official procedures to complete and announce the deal, before the close of the summer transfer period in the Saudi Professional League.
