विशेषज्ञों के मुताबिक़, 30-40 साल की उम्र के ज्यादातर स्वस्थ लोगों के लिए नियमित ब्लड प्रेशर जांच, ब्लड शुगर टेस्ट और लिपिड प्रोफाइल जैसी बुनियादी जांच ज्यादा उपयोगी हो सकती हैं.

अमेरिका के सेंटर फॉर डिजिज कंट्रोल एंज प्रिव्हेंशन (सीडीसी) का कहना है कि हार्ट अटैक के जोख़िम को समझने के लिए कोलेस्ट्रॉल की जांच अहम है. हालांकि जोख़िम ज्यादा होने पर एचबी1एसी, लिपोप्रोटीन (ए) यानी एलपीए और कुछ मामलों में एपीओबी जैसी जांचों पर भी विचार किया जा सकता है.

डॉ. लक्ष्मण गायकवाड ने बीबीसी मराठी को इस बारे में विस्तार से बताया है. वह एम्स हॉस्पिटल, डोंबिवली में इंटरवेंशनल कार्डियोलॉजिस्ट हैं. उन्होंने कहा, "काम का तनाव, व्यायाम की कमी, बढ़ता वजन, हाई ब्लड प्रेशर, बढ़ा हुआ कोलेस्ट्रॉल और ब्लड शुगर की समस्याएं अब कम उम्र में दिखाई देने लगी हैं. कई बार शुरुआत में इनके कोई लक्षण नहीं होते. इसलिए कम उम्र से ही हार्ट हेल्थ पर ध्यान देना जरूरी है.''

20 से 30 साल की उम्र में हाई ब्लड प्रेशर, एलडीएल कोलेस्ट्रॉल का बढ़ना, डायबिटीज या इंसुलिन रेजिस्टेंस, मोटापा, धूम्रपान, शारीरिक गतिविधि की कमी की वजह से कम उम्र में हृ़दय रोग के लक्षण दिख सकते हैं. इसके साथ ही असंतुलित आहार, पर्याप्त नींद न लेना और लंबे समय तक बना रहने वाला तनाव भी कम उम्र ख़राब हृदय स्वास्थ्य के लिए जिम्मेदार हो सकता है.

डॉ. गायकवाड के अनुसार, ब्लड प्रेशर की जांच हर वयस्क व्यक्ति की नियमित स्वास्थ्य जांच का हिस्सा होना चाहिए. कोलेस्ट्रॉल की जांच भी वयस्क उम्र में शुरू की जा सकती है.

डॉ. लक्ष्मण गायकवाड कहते हैं, "अगर किसी व्यक्ति के माता-पिता या परिवार के किसी अन्य सदस्य को कम उम्र में हृदय रोग या हार्ट अटैक हुआ है तो उस व्यक्ति में भी जोखिम ज्यादा हो सकता है. 40 साल की उम्र से पहले ही अगर सीने में भारीपन या दर्द हो, ख़ासकर दर्द हाथ, कंधे, पीठ, गर्दन या जबड़े तक फैल रहा हो, तो इसे नजरअंदाज नहीं करना चाहिए."

डॉ. वैभव देढिया, जो जसलोक हॉस्पिटल एंड रिसर्च सेंटर में कंसल्टेंट कार्डियोलॉजिस्ट हैं, कहते हैं, "कोलेस्ट्रॉल का आकलन करते समय ये जानना जरूरी है कि उसका स्तर क्या है और ये कितने समय से बढ़ा हुआ है. एलडीएल कोलेस्ट्रॉल में मामूली बढ़ोतरी भी अगर कई वर्षों तक बनी रहे तो इस पर ध्यान देना जरूरी है."

डॉ. वैभव देढिया के मुताबिक़, हृदय रोग से बचाव की कोशिश लंबे समय तक और लगातार चलने वाली प्रक्रिया है. 20 और 30 की उम्र में बनी आदतों और इनसे पैदा होने वाले जोखिम का असर अगले कई दशकों तक हो सकता है.

व्यायाम के बारे में उन्होंने कहा, "हर सप्ताह 150 से 300 मिनट तक मिड पेस वाला एरोबिक एक्सरसाइज करना एक अच्छा लक्ष्य माना जा सकता है. इसके साथ सप्ताह में कम से कम दो बार स्ट्रेंथ ट्रेनिंग करना भी अहम है."

हृदय को स्वस्थ रखने के लिए अपना ब्लड प्रेशर, कोलेस्ट्रॉल और ब्लड शुगर का स्तर जानें, धूम्रपान न करें, नियमित व्यायाम करें, वजन स्वस्थ सीमा में रखें और संतुलित आहार लें.
