A late-night fire broke out at Yuanshan Building Materials Store in Yilan. Four people are said to be trapped and are being rescued

A three-story house opposite the building materials store on Wenquan Road, Yuanshan Township, Yilan County, saw thick smoke and flames coming out at about 10 o'clock tonight, accompanied by bursts of explosions. The fire station was informed and dispatched personnel to the scene. At one point, it was reported that six people were trapped. The owner surnamed You escaped on his own, and his mother was rescued from the balcony on the second floor and sent to hospital. There were four people in the house including the owner's father, his wife and two children, and a large number of police officers went to rescue the house overnight.

It is understood that the first floor of the three-story building that caught fire was a building materials store. It suddenly caught fire late at night. The owner surnamed You heard a series of explosions "Bang! Bang!" from outside. He realized something was wrong and quickly escaped. When he turned back to save people, it was too late. He said in horror, "I can't get in at all. I want to rush in again, but everything is black. I can't open my eyes. There's nothing I can do!"

The Yilan County Fire Department received a report at 10:36 p.m. and dispatched people and vehicles to rescue. When the rescuers arrived, fierce flames and thick smoke burst out of the building. They first rescued the mother of the owner surnamed You from the balcony on the second floor. Her vital signs were stable and she was rushed to the hospital by ambulance.

The fire at the scene was fierce and was still not under control. It was suspected that four people, Yu Nan's father, wife and two children, were trapped in the house. The fire department successively dispatched eight additional units and a large number of police volunteers for reinforcements.
