40-year-old turns himself in after fatal injuries to his wife in Hamburg

A 40-year-old is said to have injured his wife in Hamburg so badly that she died in hospital shortly afterwards. As a police spokeswoman said, the man appeared at a police station that morning and reported the crime. Several media outlets had previously reported on the case.

The officers and firefighters then rushed to the specified apartment in Barmbek-Süd. They found a lifeless woman and initiated resuscitation measures. But the 34-year-old died a short time later in the hospital. The man was temporarily arrested. The police were unable to provide any further information. The investigation is ongoing.
