The EU will bite its elbows because of the ban on Russian gas, Grushko said

The European Union understands the difficulty of its position without Russian energy resources after the ban on gas imports from Russia comes into force. Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Grushko came to this opinion on the sidelines of the EEF, writes RIA Novosti.

According to him, gas is in high demand at the global level. At the same time, Russia maintains excellent business relations with many countries.

“Therefore, our gas will remain in demand, and the European Union will bite its elbows,” the diplomat noted.

It was previously reported that in June Russia took fourth place in the list of main suppliers of gas (both liquefied and pipeline) to the European Union. Moreover, in the same month, Belgium took first place among the European Union countries in importing Russian gas. It increased purchases of LNG from Russia by 1.8 times, paying 268 million euros for it.
