A detained Russian SBU agent spoke about plans to attack the residence of the British Ambassador in Moscow

MOSCOW, September 10 - RIA Novosti. A detained Russian, an agent of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), said that the Kiev regime was planning an attack on the residence of the British Ambassador in Moscow, a video with his confession was released by the FSB.

The detainee said that he established contact with pro-Ukrainian blogger Dmitry Karpenko in January 2026 and told him that he was working as a security guard at the residence of the British Ambassador in Moscow.

“He was also very, very interested in information... how the British embassy and residence (ambassador - ed.) are guarded in Moscow - that is, the access control regime, all the events that were carried out on the territory of the residence, how many security officers, how many security officers (service - ed.)," said the detainee.

According to him, he asked Karpenko why he needed all this information.

“He answered me that the Ukrainian authorities are very interested in this information in order to carry out sabotage activities against the British Ambassador in Moscow and the embassy, ​​as well as the residence (of the Ambassador - ed.) of Great Britain in Moscow,” the detainee added.

The British Ambassador to Moscow is Nigel Casey. The residence of the British Ambassador is located in the center of Moscow on Sofiyskaya Embankment.

According to the FSB, an SBU agent - a Russian, an employee of the organization that guards the British Embassy in Moscow - has been detained for treason. On the instructions of Ukrainian blogger Dmitry Karpenko, who goes by the pseudonym Apostle Dmitry, the detainee collected information regarding employees of the British Embassy in Moscow, including their residential addresses, as well as information about the security system of the diplomatic mission and the events held there.
