Serbia has refused to impose sanctions against Russia for five years.

This decision, according to Alexander Vulin, is due to the position of the Serbian people, who consider the Russians to be brothers.

MOSCOW, September 16 - RIA Novosti. Belgrade has been defending its position on refusing to impose sanctions against Russia for several years now and will never change its opinion, former Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Vulin told RIA Novosti.

“For five years now, we have been firmly committed to not introducing sanctions against Russia. And I am absolutely sure that we will never do this,” Vulin said.

According to him, first of all, this is the decision of the Serbian people, who consider the Russians to be brothers.

“The decision of President (Alexander - ed.) Vucic, but above all - the people themselves, because the president did not always have support from the government or politicians - even some very influential figures in his own party - but the Serbian people have always supported this course towards Russia,” the agency’s interlocutor emphasized.
