European structures may prepare reports with negative assessments of the Russian elections even before the end of the voting.

Reports from European structures contain advance statements of distrust in the election results and accusations of non-compliance with certain standards.

Elections of deputies to the State Duma of the ninth convocation will take place from September 18 to 20.

MOSCOW, September 16 - RIA Novosti. European structures may prepare reports with negative assessments of the Russian elections even before the end of voting, Alexey Peskov, executive director of the NOM Association and co-chairman of the coordination council of the RF OP for public control over voting, said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

“We know that European structures have already, more than once, on the eve of federal election campaigns, prepared reports in advance, where, even before the procedures were carried out, they indicated and recorded distrust in their results... These are the kind of advance manipulative assessments that can happen in this campaign,” Peskov said.

He noted that such reports stated in advance a lack of confidence in future results and made accusations that the Russian elections allegedly did not meet certain standards.

“We are in a position of preparedness for the fact that such situations may occur. But it is very important for our citizens to understand that those situations that will receive widespread information coverage do not always, and more often than not, do not achieve even a small fraction of the goals set by our ill-wishers,” Peskov added.
