Putin meets with Witkov for the sixth time

Addressing President Putin, Witkov added: “We were looking forward to this meeting today, and we were outside this office - Mr. Dmitriev [Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Investment and Economic Cooperation with Foreign Countries, Head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund Kirill Dmitriev], Mr. Ushakov, Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Yuri Ushakov, Jared Kushner, and I. And we talked about what we will remember when we retire. There are many stories that we will remember, and our conversations with you will be one of the best and most memorable in Memory".

Today, Saturday, the Russian President met with US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff in Russia for the sixth time.

The Russian President and the US presidential envoy discussed the Ukrainian settlement for the first time on April 11, 2025 in Petersburg. A second round of negotiations between Putin and American negotiators was held on April 25, 2025.

Following those negotiations, tripartite negotiations were held between Russia, the United States, and Ukraine in mid-May last year. The Russian president's third meeting with American envoys was held on August 6, before Putin's meeting with US President Donald Trump in Anchorage.

In Alaska, Witkoff and Kushner participated in the summit between the two presidents as part of the American delegation. Putin met with Witkov for the fourth time in Moscow on December 2 last year. The fifth and final meeting was held on January 22 of this year.
