The 48th WorldSkills Competition concluded with the Chinese delegation winning 41 gold medals, the best result in history

The 48th WorldSkills Competition concluded in Shanghai last night (27th). The Chinese delegation won 41 gold medals, 11 silver medals, 4 bronze medals and 6 winning awards. The Chinese delegation ranked first in the world in terms of gold medals and total team scores for the fifth time, creating the best results in history since my country participated in the World Skills Competition.

This competition has a total of 64 competition items, covering six major fields: structure and construction technology, manufacturing and engineering technology, information and communication technology, creative arts and fashion, social and personal services, and transportation and logistics. The Chinese delegation sent 71 athletes to participate in all competitions. This is the third time that our country has participated in all competitions.

In terms of specific projects, the CNC milling project achieved six consecutive championships, the masonry and fashion technology projects achieved five consecutive championships, and the electrical device, electronic technology, and autonomous mobile robot projects achieved four consecutive championships.

Jiao Jiao, a competitor in the body repair project, won the best player award in the delegation. Chinese contestant He Xiaoman won the Albert Vidal Award with the highest score in the rail vehicle technology project. This is the third time that our country has won this award.
