China News Service, Shanghai, September 27. The 48th World Skills Competition concluded in Shanghai on the evening of September 27. The Chinese delegation won 41 gold medals, 11 silver medals, 4 bronze medals, and 6 excellence awards. It ranked first in the gold medal list and the world's total team score for the fifth time, creating the best result in history since China participated in the World Skills Competition.

This competition has a total of 64 competition items, covering six major fields: structure and construction technology, manufacturing and engineering technology, information and communication technology, creative arts and fashion, social and personal services, and transportation and logistics. The Chinese delegation sent 71 athletes to participate in all competitions. This is the third time that China has participated in all competitions.

In terms of specific projects, the CNC milling project achieved six consecutive championships, the masonry and fashion technology projects achieved five consecutive championships, and the electrical device, electronic technology, and autonomous mobile robot projects achieved four consecutive championships. Chinese contestant He Xiaoman won the Albert Vidal Award with the highest score in the rail vehicle technology project. This is the third time that China has won this award. Jiao Jiao, a competitor in the body repair project, won the best player award in the delegation.

Judging from the distribution of results, China continues to maintain an absolute advantage in the two major fields of structural and construction technology and manufacturing and engineering technology, contributing nearly half of the gold medals in total, which fully demonstrates the development level of China's manufacturing industry; information and communication technology, creative arts and fashion also perform well, with the number of gold medals steadily increasing, reflecting the strong momentum of the vigorous development of the digital economy and creative industries; new breakthroughs have been achieved in the social and personal services, transportation and logistics fields, and many projects have refreshed the best results in history.
