Tension increased due to deadlock over opening of Hormuz Strait, Trump said- Iran will surrender soon

US President Donald Trump has said that Iran will 'surrender soon'. "As soon as Iran surrenders and the war ends, oil prices will collapse," he told reporters.

Meanwhile, Iran's IRGC has claimed to have captured an American submarine. He has also shared a video related to this.

Earlier, Iran had claimed that America's position in the region is not good and it can launch a military attack.

All these developments have taken place within 24 hours of President Trump's rejection of Iran's proposal. Trump had rejected Iran's proposal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

"I reject their proposal. They are failing miserably, and therefore want to agree to the immediate reopening of the Strait of Hormuz," he told reporters on Sunday.

Trump told reporters at the White House that Iran's proposal was "not acceptable." He said Tehran wanted to reach a deal within seven days to open the strait to commercial shipping because "they are losing badly."

The Wall Street Journal, citing unnamed American officials, had said that Donald Trump hopes that air strikes on Iran will resume after the mid-term elections.

The IRGC Navy says an 'advanced drone' has 'engaged' the US military and captured one of its submarines through 'intelligence and electronic warfare'.

According to BBC Persian, the IRGC Navy statement said the remotely operated unmanned submarine is 'one of the smart and advanced submarines named Remus 600' and has now been handed over to experts to learn more about it.

The Revolutionary Guards also released a video of a submarine being taken out of the water and emphasized in their statement that 'the Strait of Hormuz is closed.'

On Sunday, Iran's military spokesperson warned of a possible attack from America.

According to BBC Persian, an Iranian military spokesman says that America's position in the region is 'not good' and hence it can carry out 'military aggression'.

Brigadier General Mohammad Akarminiya said that Iran's army is 'fully prepared to fight the enemy.'

Earlier, a senior spokesman for Iran's armed forces had warned the US that it would get a "slap in the face" if it interfered in the Strait of Hormuz.

Abul Fazal Shekherchi also said that the US had "no other option but to leave West Asia" and advised that the sooner US forces left the region, the less losses they would suffer.

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that only a "negotiated solution" could be the way to end the conflict between Iran and America.

Iran's Foreign Minister said this after President Donald Trump publicly rejected the proposal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi acknowledged rejecting Trump's proposal in a post on Telegram, but said Iran would wait for the US's "final" official response.

He said that the President has already given contradictory statements.

Araghchi said that the conditions for opening the Strait of Hormuz are the same as those included in a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between the US and Iran in June.

Iran said it had raised the issue of reopening Hormuz and ending the conflict in talks on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York this week.

Since last week, the US has tightened its blockade on Iran, which includes blocking flights and services to Iranian aircraft.

America has put 27 Iranian airlines on the sanctions list, which became effective from September 23.

Subsequently, some countries refused to provide services to Iranian Airlines, and many flights from Iran to other countries were cancelled.

The Secretariat of Iran's Supreme National Security Council says the country has no intention of taking military action to counter the air sanctions.

Earlier, Supreme National Security Council Secretary Mohsen Rezaei had warned Iran's neighboring countries in an interview given to Iranian television.

He had said, "If any country cooperates and dares with America, flights will not be able to operate at its airports."

Iranian officials have announced a proposal to America, under which Iran has said that if America implements seven conditions, the Strait of Hormuz will be opened within seven days.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told reporters on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York that these conditions were 'nothing new' and no different from the Islamabad agreement.

Abbas Araghchi told reporters in a meeting in the presence of Iranian President Massoud Pezheshkian that Iran has presented a proposal to the US through mediators.

Explaining this, he said that if Iran's conditions are met, the Strait of Hormuz will be opened at the end of seven days, after which negotiations will resume to reach a final agreement.

The New York Times newspaper, which had a reporter present at the meeting, quoted the Iranian Foreign Minister as saying that during this period, demands were made for a cessation of hostilities elsewhere, including in Lebanon, an end to the naval blockade of Iran, relaxation of sanctions for Iranian oil exports, and giving Tehran access to at least $12 billion of frozen assets.

The Strait of Hormuz is an important waterway and in normal times, about 20 percent of the world's gas and oil supply comes through it.

It has been generally closed since the Iran war began in February, causing energy prices to rise significantly.

In his speech at the UN General Assembly, Chinese Vice President Han Zheng called for respect for the sovereignty and security of Middle Eastern countries.

He said, "China believes that the sovereignty and security of Middle Eastern countries, including the Gulf countries, should be respected. International industrial processes and supply chains should remain stable and uninterrupted, and global trade should be protected."

Han Zheng also demanded recognition of Palestine's sovereignty and the reconstruction of Gaza.

The Trump administration has increased economic sanctions on Iran, and named these economic sanctions "Operation Economic Outcast".

The US is trying to use economic pressure to force it to stop attacks on ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
