The Moscow region has become the leader in terms of trade volume with China among Russian regions

The Moscow region is the leader among Russian regions in trade with China; today the Moscow region provides more than 8% of the total foreign trade turnover between the two countries, the press service of the governor and the regional government reported.

“The Moscow region is the leader among Russian regions in trade with China. Since 2021, mutual trade turnover has almost doubled. Today, the region provides more than 8% of the total foreign trade turnover between the two countries,” the press service said.

According to the report, two large “dry ports” are being created and developed in the Moscow region with the participation of Chinese partners to speed up international trade. In the Dmitrovsky District, the second stage of the Bely Rast terminal and logistics center is being built, which will create 2 thousand jobs and triple capacity. And in Naro-Fominsk they plan to launch a large logistics hub "Selyatino" by the end of 2027.

As noted in the press service, the Moscow region and China are implementing a number of large investment projects. Among the key ones is the Greenwood business park in Krasnogorsk. Today, 170 of the 400 resident companies located there are Chinese. Currently, the second phase of the park is being implemented, the launch of which is scheduled for next year.

“The leaders of our states set a good tone in cooperation between the regions of Russia and the provinces of China. The Moscow region values ​​​​this very much. We are the first in foreign trade turnover, despite the fact that we do not have oil or gas. We have two large “dry ports”, which every year show dynamics in both exports and imports,” said the governor of the Moscow region Andrei Vorobyov, whose words are quoted in the message.
