From the Gobi in southern Xinjiang to the grasslands in northern Xinjiang, the scientific research team of the Shandong Provincial Coalfield Geological Planning and Survey Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as the "scientific research team") has continued to form a geological exploration curve spanning thousands of miles. In recent years, the scientific research team has been deeply engaged in mineral resource exploration and mine safety management in Xinjiang. Using the geological hammer as a pen and the mines and grasslands as paper, they have written a heavy answer sheet for geological aid to Xinjiang in the new era in the north and south of the Tianshan Mountains.
Using science and technology as a ruler, establishing the “geological backbone” of the energy landscape
Xinjiang is rich in mineral resources and is an important position in ensuring national energy security. However, Xinjiang has complex geological structures and variable coal seam conditions, making energy exploration like searching for treasure in the dark.
Faced with the above problems, the scientific research team chose to "go deep" and use seismic, drilling, logging and three-dimensional geological modeling technologies for collaborative exploration to achieve accurate "visualization" of underground resources.

In Hami's Danan Lake, the scientific research team used "seismic + drilling + logging + three-dimensional modeling" technology to support the construction of a large-scale open-pit coal mine with an annual output of 10 million tons, and promoted the completion of the "West-to-East Power Transmission" South Hami-Zhengzhou 800 kV UHV DC power transmission project. In the Tacheng Shajihai mining area, faced with the problem of kilometers-level deep stratigraphic detection, the scientific research team established a multi-dimensional geological database covering coal quality, rock mass, and gas components to fill the gap in regional deep geological data and provide key technical support for the registration of billion-ton mineral resources and energy development.
Strictly weaving the net, Shandong plans to protect the safety of mines
Mine safety is the top priority of safe production. In the Jungnan Mining Area, faced with hundreds of old kilns and complex disaster risks, 34 mines once pressed the "pause button." The scientific research team dispatched more than 70 geology, hydrology and mining experts to the front line to carry out safety inspections.
Through the implementation of the "one mine, one policy" expert consultation mechanism, the scientific research team launched precise investigations and tackled problems one by one in areas such as delineating water inrush areas and targeting gas anomalies, helping to promote the implementation of the country's first government-led comprehensive safety assessment of mining areas, the "Changji Model", promoting the transformation of local mine safety management from empirical treatment to scientific and precise prevention and control, and building a solid "protective shield" for safe production in border mines.
A blend of true feelings watering the "flower of happiness" of national unity
In the eyes of Shandong geologists, aid to Xinjiang is not only a technical output, but also a two-way emotional connection. While providing geological and technical services, the scientific research team always puts national unity in an important position and extends its work to grassroots people's livelihood areas.
"Geological services must be closely linked with the improvement of people's livelihood." In Tacheng, the scientific research team has built more than 60 kilometers of convenient roads for herdsmen, built drinking water wells for pastures to solve irrigation problems, and established a "geological services + employment assistance" model, attracting hundreds of local ethnic minority people to work on site every year to increase their income and become rich.
Touching stories are often hidden in ordinary perseverance. In the Dananhu mining area, the scientific research team successfully rescued three Uyghur compatriots and vehicles and supplies who were trapped for more than 20 hours in the Gobi Desert; in the pastoral area, the scientific research team opened a "yurt classroom" to teach legal knowledge in easy-to-understand language. The practical deeds that benefit the people and the heart-warming assistance time and time again make people of all ethnic groups hug each other tightly like pomegranate seeds.
Standing at a new starting point, Shandong geologists keep walking. In the future, the scientific research team will continue to deepen Xinjiang's mineral exploration, mine safety research and people's livelihood assistance, empower high-quality development in the border area with scientific and technological innovation, and contribute to ensuring national energy security and building a united and harmonious Xinjiang. Indian factories, smelters, and households face blackouts and rising energy costs as plunging coal stockpiles at power stations ripple through the economy due to weak monsoon rains and surging electricity demand.
Since the beginning of this year, the development of my country's hydrogen energy industry has accelerated across the board. From production and supply, transportation and storage to scene applications, it is becoming an important force in promoting the green and low-carbon transformation of energy. At present, my country's hydrogen energy production capacity accounts for more than half of the world's, and its annual output exceeds 39 million tons, ranking first in the world.

In response to media reports of serious losses in 12 projects of state-owned enterprises, the Ministry of Economic Affairs stated that investment in state-owned enterprises is essentially public and public welfare national infrastructure construction, aiming to strengthen the resilience of energy and infrastructure. It is not for the sole purpose of commercial profit, and relevant projects have undergone rigorous performance evaluation.

Bangladesh's $13 billion Lupur nuclear power plant is about to be put into operation, and the first reactor is expected to be commissioned by the end of this year. The project, co-constructed by Rosatom, aims to alleviate the country's energy crisis, but has also raised concerns among local residents about safety and corruption.

The U.S. Department of Energy approved the release of up to 4 million barrels of crude oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, with Exxon Mobil and BP U.S. subsidiaries each taking 2 million barrels, in response to the disruption of oil production in the Gulf of Mexico caused by Hurricane Isaias. The oil needs to be returned in 2027 and the amount exceeding the loaned amount will be regarded as interest in kind.

The Russian government announced the partial lifting of the ban on diesel exports, which will take effect on that day, and plans to supply 500,000 tons of diesel to the international market. The decision aims to implement the agreement reached between Putin and Trump, in which Rosneft will sign export contracts with foreign partners. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Novak said the measure would not harm the interests of domestic consumers.
