Goalkeeper Mustafa Schubert wrote via the “Story” feature on the Instagram platform: “Thank you for everything, and I wish you all the best in what comes next.”

Defender Ahmed Fattouh said: “Thank you for all your efforts, fatigue and achievements, and all the best in what comes next.”

Hossam Hassan took over as coach of his country’s national team in February 2024, and achieved 21 wins, 7 defeats and 10 draws.
