Minute by minute. This is how the police stopped the massacre on the Main Square in Krakow

At 15:00:15 The Provincial Emergency Notification Center received the first reports of shots fired in the Main Square. The police reported that there were nearly 40 reports in total. In the 2nd minute, city guards were already on site. The police intervened in the 3rd minute. Then there was an exchange of fire with the attacker and a chase. The officers are joined by other patrols, directed to the site by the officer on duty. In the 4th minute, emergency medical teams arrived on site. In the 6th minute, the first units of the State Fire Service arrived at the scene.

24-year-old Michał O., who shot, killed 6 people. He injured 15. Among the injured were two policemen who tried to stop and incapacitate him until the last moment, but the 24-year-old fired combat weapons at them until the last second. The wounded heroes, Krakow policemen, thanks to whom there are no more victims of the massacre, are Senior Constable Jakub Kulik and Senior Constable Artur Morański.

Yesterday around 15 Michał O. from Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, wearing tactical clothes and a helmet, drove a black Subaru onto the Main Square in Krakow, shooting with a combat weapon. He himself was shot during an exchange of fire with the police. He underwent several surgeries overnight and is also in critical condition. In an apartment in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, the uniformed officers - standing on a lift - first broke the glass in the balcony window so that the drone could fly there. It was not known whether there were any explosives in the apartment. Three bodies were discovered in the attacker's apartment. These are the parents and sister of the 24-year-old shooter - 53-year-old father, 52-year-old mother and 21-year-old sister.
