These diseases are the largest contributor to mortality worldwide. Special attention, she added, is paid to protecting the health of mothers and children.
Kotova also reported that in Russia the infant mortality rate has reached a historical low of 3.3 ppm. According to her, the country is among the group of countries with the lowest values of this indicator in the world.
“In many areas of medicine, practically in the majority, today we – our country, Russia – have outstanding results,” said the deputy minister.
Kotova added that Russia is ready to help partners train personnel and offer modern medical products: medicines, vaccines and medical devices. The Deputy Minister also said that as part of her visit to Ashgabat, she is scheduled to meet with the Minister of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, at which the parties will discuss mutually beneficial areas of cooperation.
