Motorcyclist dies after being hit by car on the side road of Presidente Bernardes

According to information from the Operational Control Center of the concessionaire responsible for the stretch, the accident occurred around 6 am, at km 2 of the road, when the driver of the car lost control of the vehicle and entered the opposite lane.

The motorcyclist fell on the road after the motorcycle was hit head-on by the car. The rescue team was called and found a death at the scene.

The driver of the car was taken to the Presidente Prudente Regional Hospital with serious injuries. There were no updates on the victim's health status.

According to the Highway Police, the woman underwent a breathalyzer test, which came back negative. Forensics went to the scene and the incident was forwarded to the Presidente Bernardes Police Station.

After the accident, all lanes and the shoulder in one direction were closed for almost four hours, being reopened at 10:18 am on Saturday. There was no record of congestion.
