The former branch president of the Bamboo Union Gang led the "Rider Hunter" group to kidnap, torture and extort five people to death. He was sentenced and ordered to pay 400,000 yuan in compensation.

Lu Jinlin (32 years old), who was the president of Binshi Branch of Dihutang of the Bamboo Union Gang, formed a "Rider Hunter" group with Zhang Nan, Cai Nan and other 6 people, specializing in targeting riders for "blackmail", kidnapped people and cars, intercepted fraudulent payments, and beat and tortured them during the detention process. They also forced people to fight each other, lick semen and record the footage, and then intimidated their families to pay ransoms ranging from hundreds of thousands to millions. The methods were extremely vicious, and a total of five people were brutally murdered. The case was heard by the Changhua District Court and the masterminds Lu Nan and Zhang Nan were sentenced to June 36 and June 2014 respectively. Cai Nan was sentenced to 19 years and the other three accomplices were sentenced to 5 to 10 years in prison. The judge said that the plaintiff's sexual autonomy, body rights, health rights, chastity rights, freedom rights and other personal legal rights were violated, and the circumstances were serious.
