MOSCOW, September 16 - RIA Novosti. The Port Alliance company, which manages ports and terminals in three main export directions, shipped 5.58 million tons of cargo to Indian buyers in January-August of this year, the company’s press service reports.

The main volume of export cargo flow was coal – 5.36 million tons. Supplies of anthracite, in demand by the Indian metallurgical sector, amounted to 43.1 thousand tons.

In addition to the fuel and energy range, the holding’s ports have strengthened their position in ensuring export supplies of agrochemicals for the needs of agricultural producers and strengthening India’s food security. The volume of transshipment of mineral fertilizers in the Indian direction over the eight months of this year reached 173.9 thousand tons, which is equivalent to 3.8% of the all-Russian export of fertilizers in this direction.

“The stability of shipments and the reliability of cross-border chains are ensured through the company’s unified technical policy. It is aimed at modernizing the port infrastructure, optimizing logistics routes, reducing standard processing times for large-tonnage fleets and increasing coordination between all assets of the holding,” said Sergei Galkin, director of port operations at the Port Alliance group of companies.
