China News Service, Chongqing, November 7 (Liu Xianglin Chen Tao Zhang Xiaoning) Reporter learned from the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Democratic Progressive Party on the 7th that since this year, the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Democratic Progressive Party has built a "2+3+N" social service brand matrix, namely 2 "enlightened" series of special projects, 3 brand platforms and "N" special activities organized at the district level. Nearly 500 activities have been carried out throughout the year, serving more than 96,000 people, and promoting the transformation of social services from activity-based to mechanism-based and from fragmented to branded.
At the beginning of this year, the Chongqing Municipal Committee for the Advancement of Democracy established a social service theme year work leading group and office, issued the theme year implementation plan and the "Enlightenment" series of special promotion plans, and clarified the responsible units and completion time limits for each task. The Chongqing Municipal Committee for the Advancement of Democracy insists on conducting research before establishing projects, and went to Banan, Yuzhong, Changshou and Anlong in Guizhou seven times throughout the year to verify the matching between people's needs and local resources. The "Measures for Social Service Activities of the Chongqing Municipal Committee for the Advancement of Democracy" were simultaneously released, and the three charters of the Little Orange Light Fund, the Entrepreneurs Association, and the Kaiming Painting Academy were revised, and a work process of demand mapping, project lists, and assigning responsibilities to people was established. Social services have also been included in the reform project of "Deepening Social Service Capacity Improvement" of the Chongqing Municipal United Front System, and the theme year and reform projects are being promoted in an integrated manner.
On June 22, the Chongqing Municipal Committee for the Democracy’s Social Service Theme Year special activities and assistance research were held in Anlong County, Guizhou, which is supported by the Central Committee for the Democracy. In a class at Haizi Middle School in Anlong County, Wu Yaqiu, a teacher at Chongqing No. 11 Middle School, first asked the children which book they had recently read completely before giving reading guidance. This is a microcosm of the "enlightened reading" special project of the Chongqing Municipal Committee for the Democracy.

On February 1 this year, the "Regulations on the Promotion of National Reading" came into effect. However, in reality, the gap in reading conditions between urban and rural areas is both in the classroom and in books. The predecessors of the Democratic Progressive Party founded Kaiming Bookstore to deliver good books to readers, and "Enlightened Reading" continued this tradition by delivering books to schools in mountainous areas. In Chongqing, related work was unified under the brand of "Reading Together, Fragrance of Books and Chongqing": Rongchang implemented the "Enlightened Reading·One Book" list-based pledge and connected with 9 rural schools to collect more than 1,700 books; the Chongqing Yongchuan District Committee of the Democratic Progressive Party, together with the Chongqing Democratic Progressive Entrepreneurs Association and other units, went to Xiangyun, Yunnan, donated more than 1,600 books to the county's No. 2 Middle School, and unveiled the "Enlightened Bookshelf".
In order to avoid "giving away what you have," the Chongqing Municipal Committee for the Advancement of Democracy insists on deciding on the books before donating. It verifies the school's collection of books and students' reading preferences one by one and then makes a list. It is arranged at three levels: bookstores, bookshelves, and school bags: 11 "enlightened bookstores" are built in schools, 31 "enlightened bookshelves" are set up in classrooms and corridors, and 106 "enlightened schoolbags" are taken home by students, achieving full coverage from school to class to individual. The books remain in the school and can be used repeatedly and continuously supplemented by subsequent students. Throughout the year, 109 reading activities were held, with 1,844 members participating and 31,000 benefiting.

Another social service activity, "Yujian Tutoring·Tongxin Escort" focuses on family education. On April 17 this year, the Chongqing Action Training Course for Enlightened Family Education Guidance Service "Yujian Tutors and Guarding Together" was held at Longzhouwan Primary School in Banan District, Chongqing, to assist in the construction of the "Longzhou Tongxin Circle" education alliance; the Chongqing Municipal Committee for Democracy invited university scholars to teach in Banan, Yuzhong, and Changshou, Chongqing, to help build a teaching community for Qiujing Middle School and Sichuanwei Middle School; Chongqing Yongchuan and Dazu sent services to communities and families of children in need. In June, the service was extended beyond the campus. The Chongqing Municipal Committee for the Democracy and the Chongqing Education and Correction Bureau jointly launched the "Little Orange Lantern Parent Classroom" at the Jiangbei Education and Correction Center in Chongqing to provide counseling around family repair, emotional guidance, and family assistance. According to statistics, a total of 185 related activities were carried out on this theme throughout the year, with 920 DPP members investing, 39,000 people benefiting, and 19,900 families receiving guidance.
In targeted assistance areas, the Chongqing Municipal Committee for the Advancement of Democracy focuses on the growth of rural teachers and long-term projects. The "Together Rainbow Action" is sponsored by the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Democratic Progressive Party under the guidance of the Central Social Service Department of the Democratic Progressive Party and hosted by Chongqing No. 11 Middle School. Every year, key rural teachers from Jinsha, Anlong and other places in Guizhou are invited to urban classrooms for on-the-job training. In October this year, the tenth training class was held. More than ten rural backbone teachers from Guizhou, Chengkou, Chongqing and other places participated in the four-week on-the-job training, with the theme of "Artificial Intelligence Technology Empowering Education and Teaching Practice Activities." This project was selected as an innovative case for rural talent revitalization in Chongqing in 2022. It was the only democratic party project selected among the 10 cases in the city that year.
Chengkou and Wulong in Chongqing, which receive counterpart assistance, and Bijie, Jinsha, and Anlong in Guizhou, which receive cross-provincial assistance, all have “Little Orange Lantern” projects. The "Little Orange Deng" student aid project of Xianyi Town Central Primary School in Chengkou County invests 40,000 yuan every year and has been investing for five consecutive years to continue to support a group of students from primary school to middle school. The Haizi Town Junior High School in Anlong County has both the "Little Orange Deng" scholarship and a new "Enlightened Bookstore". The "Three Hundred" Empowering Rural Revitalization Action simultaneously carried out free clinics and industrial assistance, benefiting 76 sessions and 11,800 person-times throughout the year. The doctors and assistance experts participating in the free clinics were all members of the Democratic Progressive Party.
The relevant person in charge of the Chongqing Municipal Committee for the Democracy said that they will continue to use the mechanism formed in the social service theme year to strengthen capacity building and maintain the continuity of various services. Next year, relevant social services will also be sent to schools further away.
