The reporter learned from the Shanghai police on the 7th that the person in charge of a South American exhibitor expressed his gratitude to the police at the "Blue Whale" enterprise protection work station of the Shanghai Police International Exhibition Center: "It's incredible. I didn't expect the problem to be solved so quickly."

The 9th CIIE is being held in Shanghai. How do I apply for a pass when I come to China temporarily for negotiation? How can hotel guests travel to and from the exhibition hall more conveniently? How to ensure the commuting of employees of surrounding companies? According to the Shanghai police, since the opening of this CIIE, the police have relied on the "three-institution linkage" enterprise version mechanism to visit more than 400 exhibiting companies and solve more than 140 "urgent, difficult and anxious problems" of various companies.

The above-mentioned demand for certificates from South American exhibitors stems from a temporary arrangement. The person in charge of the company was invited by a Chinese agent to come to China to discuss purchase and sales business, and needed to coordinate the application for CIIE passes. At 15:00 on November 5, company personnel came to the enterprise protection work station for help according to the translation guidelines in the promotional materials of the CIIE facilitation measures.

Due to the language barrier between the two parties, the work site coordinated with the immigration administration department to send personnel to the scene for translation. After understanding the needs, the police contacted the certificate processing department, took the exhibitors to the on-site certificate production center, submitted application materials through the exhibitor certificate application channel, and completed the certificate production the next day.

For the InterContinental Hotel at the National Exhibition Center, which is responsible for the accommodation and reception of exhibitors, the efficiency of guests traveling to and from the exhibition hall is an important part of service guarantee during the exhibition.

"The traffic time has been shortened and the exclusive channel has been smoother. The time for exhibitors and merchants to travel between the exhibition hall and the hotel has been significantly reduced." said the person in charge of the hotel. After understanding the hotel's needs, the police coordinated with relevant departments to further shorten the conference closure time while ensuring safety, opened exclusive hotel verification access channels, optimized the "hotel-to-exhibition hall" access model, and simplified the security inspection process to and from the exhibition.

At the same time, the police and the hotel have established an all-weather police-enterprise linkage mechanism, arranging dedicated personnel to provide accommodation registration, document verification, entry-exit policy consultation and other services to exhibitors.

The daily traffic needs of enterprises around the exhibition hall were also responded to during the visit. The park of a company is adjacent to the National Exhibition Center. The roads for some employees to go to the company are within the control area, making access inconvenient. After understanding the situation, the police coordinated with the traffic control department and combined with the surrounding road traffic arrangements during the exhibition to implement measures to ensure the passage of office vehicles to reduce the impact on the normal operations of the company.

"The appeal was quickly resolved after it was raised. It is very convenient for employees and office cars to enter and exit, and our daily operations are more stable." said the person in charge of the company.

In addition to the requirements for certificates and passage, the protection of intellectual property rights of exhibiting brands is also a focus of police visits.

During a previous special inquiry on intellectual property protection for brands participating in the CIIE, the Shanghai police learned relevant clues that an overseas machinery manufacturing company had been infringed, and subsequently opened a case for investigation. According to the police, the gang involved in the case produced excavators and other large machinery and equipment by refurbishing old parts and forging trademarks and labeling, and then used cross-border network channels to sell them under the name of relevant brands. On October 29, the Shanghai police launched a centralized operation and arrested 55 suspects. They also seized more than 30 pieces of machinery and equipment on site, with a total amount of more than 60 million yuan involved.

"The police's quick response and concentrated crackdown allowed us to see Shanghai's efforts to protect the intellectual property rights of participating brands, and also gave companies more confidence in the Chinese market." said the person in charge of the overseas machinery manufacturing company.
