Marine Le Pen said that France will no longer be able to help Ukraine due to financial problems in the country.

According to Le Pen, the French government claims to have no funds to index pensions, but finds 10 billion euros to contribute to the European Union.

MOSCOW, September 17 – RIA Novosti. France will no longer be able to help Ukraine due to financial problems in the country, Marine Le Pen, leader of the right-wing National Rally party faction in the French parliament, said in an interview with LCI TV channel.

“Can we continue to provide financial support to Ukraine to the extent that we have already done this, and this, as you understand, is significant assistance? And we said to ourselves: we cannot. This is not an act of hostility towards Ukraine,” she said.

According to the politician, France cannot finance Kyiv due to its difficult financial situation, despite all the government’s assurances.

“The government says that there is not even one euro for indexing pensions, but, on the other hand, there are 10 billion for a net contribution to the European Union,” Le Pen complained.

Yesterday, the head of the parliamentary budget committee, Roksolana Pidlasa, said that Ukraine needs $52.6 billion in external financing for 2027.

Previously, Ukraine's draft budget for 2027 with a deficit of 1,666 billion hryvnia ($37.3 billion) was registered in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

In August, RIA Novosti found out that Ukraine’s public external and internal debt reached a new historical maximum, reaching $214.18 billion at the end of July.
