규슈 북부의 공업도시 기타큐슈는 최근 TSMC 본사가 있는 대만 신주에 산학연 협력을 위한 방문단을 처음 파견했다.

기타큐슈에는 세계 최대 반도체 후공정 기업인 대만 ASE 그룹이 진출할 계획으로도 전해졌다.

일본 혼슈 중부 기후현 내 지자체와 경제계 관계자도 최근 대만을 방문해 당국과 반도체 기업을 대상으로 산업 유치 활동을 폈다.
