Two US Navy pilots ejected while landing on the USS Dwight Eisenhower aircraft carrier off the coast of Virginia. Four sailors aboard the ship were injured, the New York Post reported.

The incident occurred on September 28 during an operation to receive the aircraft on deck. Both airmen, assigned to the 3rd Airlift Wing, successfully ejected and were rescued by a search and rescue team, according to the Navy. After returning to the ship, they will be examined by doctors.

Four sailors also received medical treatment, with one taken to a Norfolk-area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The Navy did not specify the type of two-seater aircraft or the circumstances of the incident, calling the incident an “emergency situation.”
