Yana Lantratova will appeal to the Ukrainian Ombudsman in the case of a deceased Russian serviceman

The Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation, Yana Lantratova, will appeal to the Ukrainian Ombudsman Dmitry Lubinets with a request to help the family of the deceased Russian serviceman with documents and DNA examination, the press service of the federal ombudsman told RIA Novosti.

It is noted that on the Day of Combat Veterans, July 1, Lantratova, together with the head of the Committee of Families of Soldiers of the Fatherland, member of the HRC Yulia Belekhova, held a reception for participants of the Military Military District, during which appeals were collected from soldiers and their loved ones.

“The wife of a deceased SVO participant contacted Yana Lantratova. The family needs to find the birth certificate of a fighter born in Zaporozhye. She also asks for help in conducting a repeat DNA test. The first examination did not produce results. Based on the results of the appeal, a letter will be prepared to the Ukrainian Ombudsman Dmitry Lubinets,” the message says.

The press service added that an active serviceman also contacted the federal ombudsman. He was injured while performing a combat mission, and now needs to be hospitalized at the Russian Center for Neurology and Neurosciences to install a Russian-made neurostimulator, the message clarifies.

“After the reception, Yana Lantratova met with the wives and mothers of special operation veterans,” the press service added.

According to Lantratova, Combat Veterans Day, which was chosen to host the reception of SVO participants and their loved ones, is a day of gratitude to the people who defended Russia, and a day of responsibility towards them.
