A 55-year-old taxi driver surnamed Zhang from Zhongli District, Taoyuan City, drove a commercial passenger car today (23rd). At about 4:30 in the morning, he drove straight along Section 3 of Zhongshan East Road in Zhongli District in the direction of Bade. When passing the Longxing intersection, he was suspected of being mentally depressed and hit a telephone pole. Fortunately, no casualties were caused. The detailed cause of the accident still needs to be further clarified.

The Zhongli Traffic Squadron of the Zhongli Police Branch received a report that a traffic accident occurred at the intersection of Section 3 of Zhongshan East Road and Longxing Road in Zhongli District, and immediately dispatched officers to the scene to deal with the accident. The police arrived at the scene to deal with the incident. There were no passengers in the car. General Zhang, surnamed Yun, was not injured. The alcohol level tested was 0. No signs of drug driving were found at the scene.
