In Volgograd, a 60-year-old soldier of a special military operation (SVO) returned from the front and learned that he had been buried. V1.ru writes about this with reference to a serviceman and his relatives.

As it became known, Vladimir signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense in 2023. According to the man’s eldest daughter, her father rarely got in touch and the last time he communicated with his family before his disappearance was in May 2024. In February 2025, the woman received a call from the military registration and enlistment office and was informed that the man was missing, and six months later - about his death. “Along with all the documents, death certificate, certificates, notifications, there was a certificate from the command, which indicated that the body could not be evacuated because it came under enemy artillery fire,” said the publication’s interlocutor.

However, on Christmas Day, Vladimir suddenly returned alive. He explained to his family that he received vacation for the first time in 2.5 years. All this time he was in the unit and carried out combat missions.

The serviceman himself told reporters that he had no idea about the documents sent to his relatives about his death.

He added that after the vacation he planned to return to the Northern Military District, but due to the death recorded in the documents, he could not do this. At the same time, Vladimir shared that he was experiencing health problems, especially after two wounds.
