On the evening of the 14th, the reporter visited the main venue - Yanzhong Greenland, the main venue in Huangpu. The Yanzhong Green Space, which covers an area of ​​approximately 230,000 square meters, is known as Shanghai’s “Central Park”. Over the past 20 years, Yanzhong Green Space has grown into the largest green forest in central Shanghai.

The organizers of the 3rd Shanghai International Light and Shadow Festival adhere to the eco-friendly principle of "slight lighting, light intervention" and strive to create "seeing the original appearance of life" in light and shadow. The organizers have incorporated the concept of "Don't be anxious, don't be anxious, be happy, be joyful" into the lighting installations and scene settings, allowing light and shadow to shine into every corner of life, creating an urban leisure "treasure place" that is impressive, physically and mentally comfortable, and has a strong sense of relaxation for citizens and tourists.

The organizers focused on creating three light and shadow scenes: "Longmen Fish Array", "Song of Birds and Fragrant Flowers" and "Always with Family"; at the same time, they created an "Open Source Forest". According to reports, most of the lighting installations and scenes in Yanzhong Green Space will remain unnamed, allowing the public to use their free imagination and participate in content creation.

In the No. 3 green space of the Yanzhong Green Belt, the reporter saw that based on the core concept of "light and shadow weaving", the organizers used light as the line, the bridge as the shuttle, and the fog as the medium. Relying on the arc-shaped light dome structure, fog forest system and dynamic light and shadow changes, the ordinary passing bridge was transformed into an immersive art space, which complemented the reflection on the pool and achieved the organic unity of urban landscape, natural ecology and humanistic experience. The sensor function attached to some art installations can also realize dynamic light and shadow effects that move with people according to the density of people flow and the dynamics of tourists.

Cross the road east to Green Space No. 2, where various art installations are placed from west to east. In the light and shadow scene of birds singing and flowers fragrant, when people walk into the street path, various light-carved birds are singing above their heads, flowers are blooming all over the road at their feet, and there is a faint twilight around them, which makes the birdsong and flower world fill their hearts.

The family often enjoys light and shadow scenes. The two night heron-shaped lighting installations in the lake, one big and one small, cuddling each other, make people feel relaxed and leisurely. According to the team that created the lanterns, the production techniques used include: framing and hand shaping. According to reports, tens of thousands of feathers and other special-shaped components were not only handmade by team members, but also manually installed and calibrated piece by piece, creating the plush and vibrant night heron image today.

When the reporter crossed the road east again to Green Space No. 1, the scene of the Dragon Gate Fish Array was eye-catching: swaths of koi lanterns shuttled among the "lotus leaves" among the trees, as if they were about to leap into the air and jump over the Dragon Gate at the next moment. Surrounded by lively streets and alleys, with gorgeous lanterns in the eyes, the scene is truly like "the jade pot turns with light, and the fish and dragons dance all night long". Facing Longmen Road, it is not only the main visual gateway connecting the Huaihai Middle Road business district and Yanzhong Green Space, but also the location of the light and shadow market, the main venue of this Shanghai International Light and Shadow Festival.

A set of light and shadow interactive installations attracted a lot of attention. While stepping on a mole, a flower bloomed, making the interesting "whack-a-mole" game more heartwarming.

It is understood that during the third Shanghai International Light and Shadow Festival, in addition to displaying light and shadow art works and creating a light and shadow market, the organizers will also launch projection shows and performances for the public at Yanzhong Green Space. Using the century-old classical architecture of the Shanghai Concert Hall as a natural curtain, large-area facade projections, three types of architectural projection shows with diverse contents, including the main show, international artist show, and style theme show, will be presented in turn, paired with live performances such as water dancing, bringing audio-visual enjoyment to the audience.
