In Ukraine, two regions were left without electricity after attacks by the Russian army. This was reported by the Ukrainian publication “Strana.ua” on Telegram.

It is specified that the blackout occurred in the Nikolaev region. Electricity also went out in the part of the Kherson region under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

The DPR, LPR, as well as the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions became part of Russia on September 30, 2022. Referendums on the issue of returning these territories to the jurisdiction of Moscow were held in these regions from September 23 to 27. Crimea became part of Russia in March 2014 after a referendum took place in the region, during which the overwhelming majority of voters who took part in the voting supported this decision. Kyiv does not recognize the voting results and considers the peninsula to be its, but temporarily occupied, territory.
