The quarantine concerns the movement and circulation of farm animals; there are no restrictions for residents and social infrastructure.

Quarantine for contagious nodular dermatitis of cattle was introduced in 59 settlements of the Moscow region, it applies to parts of Losino-Petrovsky, Shchelkovsky, Bogorodsky districts and the city of Fryazino, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region told RIA Novosti.

“The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region has established restrictive measures (quarantine) for infectious nodular dermatitis in cattle,” the press service said.

According to the report, an epizootic outbreak was identified on the territory of the federal government enterprise "Russian Biological Industrial Company" in the urban district of Losino-Petrovsky. The introduced quarantine affects 59 settlements and operates in several zones: directly on the territory of the outbreak, in a 3-kilometer quarantine zone around it, as well as in a 10-kilometer veterinary control zone covering parts of Losino-Petrovsky, Shchelkovsky, Bogorodsky districts and the city of Fryazino.

“The measures introduced relate exclusively to the movement and circulation of farm animals. The import and export of susceptible livestock is limited (except for sending for slaughter), as well as the holding of fairs, exhibitions and other events involving animals. There are no restrictions for residents and social infrastructure,” the press service said.
