Infection of livestock has been confirmed in the villages of Butyrki, Koty and Turskaya of the Oek administrative district, where 146 animals are subject to alienation.

On September 3, the press service of the government of the Irkutsk region reported the introduction of quarantine in the Irkutsk district due to the disease of cattle with nodular dermatitis.

Frolov said on Tuesday that, together with the governor of the Irkutsk region, Igor Kobzev, he met with residents of the villages where outbreaks of the disease were identified. The issue of compensation payments was discussed at the meeting. According to his information, the affected owners, whose documents for their animals are in order, will receive the amount of compensation from two budgets: regional and district.

“We have a state of emergency due to the detection of contagious nodular dermatitis,” Frolov wrote on his page on the VKontakte social network.

He noted that to date, infection of livestock has been confirmed in the villages of Butyrki, Koty and Turskaya of the Oek administrative district, where 146 animals are subject to alienation.
