The Zeta website, the newspaper of the Luiss School of Journalism, was the subject of a cyber attack claimed by the Coup de Grace group, which presents itself as an active group in the field of disinformation and digital disorder. The episode occurred a few days after the Facebook page of the director of the Luiss School of Journalism, Gianni Riotta, was compromised and blocked.

The observatory for disinformation

Luiss is coordinator of the Italian Digital Media Observatory (IDMO), the European Union hub for combating disinformation. The Observatory's activities have long been the subject of attempted attacks and actions attributable to the broader phenomenon of hybrid threats and the manipulation of online information. The acronym CoupdeGrace has been associated with "Gantengers Crew", a controversial group of hackers who in the past attacked the Australian National University. Verification and restoration activities of the affected services are underway, as well as the necessary investigations by the authorities.
