The future of Egyptian-American relations in light of Washington’s agreement with Ethiopia on the Renaissance Dam

After the American President spoke more than once about an American role in building the Renaissance Dam, criticizing Egypt’s deprivation of its just right to the waters of the Nile, the United States concluded a strategic partnership agreement a few days ago with Ethiopia, causing some to question the ability of the United States to play the role of an honest mediator between Egypt and Ethiopia, and others go so far as to consider the agreement an expression of American anger towards Cairo, whose positions differed with Washington on several issues, most notably the position on the displacement of Palestinians, and perhaps increased by the political and military rapprochement with China, which Recently culminated in the visit of the Chinese President to Egypt. Between truth and exaggerations; What does the future of Egyptian-American relations look like, which have taken a special shape since the peace agreement between Egypt and Israel? How does Egypt balance its relations between East and West in a world that seems to bid farewell to unipolar sovereignty?
