Unable to bear the AI rumors and smear campaign by the Kuomintang camp over the past few months, Lin Guozhang, the Democratic Progressive Party's candidate for Yilan County governor, went to the Yilan District Prosecutor's Office this afternoon to press the bell and accuse Lin Jianrong, the chairman of the Yilan County Party Committee of the Kuomintang. He formally filed a lawsuit on suspicion of defamation and violation of the election law.
November 6 is the voting day for the general election of deputies to the People's Congress at the urban and township levels in Beijing. When Xi Jinping voted at the Huairentang polling station in the Zhongnanhai constituency of Xicheng District to vote for the district people's congress representatives, he emphasized the need to practice people's democracy throughout the process to ensure the election of representatives that satisfy the people.

The Executive Yuan announced today (6th) that it will not countersign the amendment to the "Elderly Welfare Act" passed by the Legislative Yuan on the third reading. Executive Yuan spokesperson Li Huizhi said that the amendment involves deleting weak medical subsidy legal sources, increasing huge financial burdens, violating intergenerational justice, infringing on the budget power of the Executive Yuan and violating the principle of separation of powers.

Although the plan to build the giant Arc de Triomphe promoted by US President Trump was approved by the capital's public committee, federal judge Chukan immediately ruled to suspend the construction for two weeks to hear legality challenges, casting a shadow on the prospects of the entire case.

The Legislative Yuan passed the amendment to the "Provisional Regulations on Welfare Subsidies for Elderly Farmers" on its third reading, raising the monthly subsidy to 15,000 yuan and taking effect retroactively from July 1. Yunlin County Magistrate Zhang Lishan expressed support, saying that this was delayed justice and hoped that the Executive Yuan would implement it in accordance with the law.

Non-party legislator Gao Jin Sumei, former office directors Zhang Junjie, Chen Zhixuan, and assistant Lin Yijun are suspected of receiving more than 170 million yuan in funds from the Chinese Communist Party from 2005 to 2016 to develop organizations in Taiwan and cooperate with anti-arms procurement. The prosecutors indicted four people under the National Security Law and other crimes, and sentenced Gao Jin Sumei and Zhang Junjie to 14 and 15 years in prison respectively.
