An investigation by the Penghu Coast Guard pointed out that at around 6 a.m. today (26th), the 13th Patrol Area of ​​the Kinmapeng Branch of the Coast Guard received a report from fishermen, saying that a Chinese fishing boat was suspected of crossing the border for fishing. The patrol area immediately requested the 8th (Penghu) Coast Guard Team to investigate. The Eighth (Penghu) Coast Guard dispatched boat PP-10071 to the notified waters early. At 9:12 a.m., a Chinese unnamed fishing vessel was found in the northwest waters of Mutou Island and was engaged in bottom towing operations across the border. It immediately broadcast and blew the whistle to request the Chinese unnamed fishing vessel to raise the net and stop the vessel for inspection.

However, the Chinese fishing boat refused to cooperate and resorted to snaking to avoid inspection. The captain considered that the fishing boat was towing large nets and iron rods behind it, and there were safety concerns for direct boarding and inspection, so he decided to launch a small boat for boarding and inspection. At 9:27 a.m., he successfully berthed the fishing boat and boarded the ship. The scene was immediately controlled and a headcount was carried out, and it was confirmed that there were 6 Chinese crew members on board, and no beef or pork products were found. The fishing boat involved has been detained by patrol boats and taken back to Magong Port, and will be punished in accordance with the "Regulations on Relations between the People of the Taiwan Area and the Mainland Area".
