Grandmaster Andrei Esipenko ahead of schedule became the winner of the Superfinal of the Russian Chess Championship, which takes place in Rostov-on-Don.

One round before the end of the competition, Esipenko scored 7 points and became unattainable for his closest pursuers. Evgeniy Nayer, David Paravyan and Pavel Ponkratov scored 5.5 points each.

Esipenko is 24 years old, he became the champion of Russia for the first time. Previously, he twice became the silver medalist of the Russian Championship Superfinal.
